This is continued from the first part coverage of Artist Alley at Singapore Toys, Games and Comics Convention.

Sonny Sy used to work for Lucasfilm but is now striking out on his own, creating miniature figures sculpted and painted personally. You can find more of his work at Orange 3D Plastic and also get a glimpse of how he creates the models behind the scenes.

That's Magenta, a figurine sculpted by him, featuring the character design from Ray Toh. It's 1/20 scale model. The craftsmanship is exquisite. You can order it at www.o3dminiatures.com which shouldn't be too expensive to ship because the packaging is quite small.

Here's another fine piece of work sculpted by him. It's actually the logo for his blog.

Speaking of Ray Toh, that's him on the right with me. He's a freelance illustrator and concept artist whose work is really good. You should check out his blog. I've an artbook from him which I'll feature soon.

Thanks to Sonny Sy who alerted me that Yonghow Vong is around. Yonghow is the blogger behind Halcyon Realms. He writes about animation, Japanese stuff and reviews art books on his blog as well. Currently, he's working as a Lighting Technical Director at Lucasfilm. Prior to that, he has worked on the Freedom Project anime series.
The photo from left to right is me, Yonghow, Sonny Sy, Wai Ming (Yonghow's colleague) and Hillary Yeo.

Two ladies from Indonesia representing their art group. You can find their work at plainpaper.deviantart.com and orrie-g.deviantart.com.

Closing thoughts
So far, the quality of work I've seen from the artists are really high. The level of creativity is really high. It's really a pleasure to be able to share some of their work with readers here.
It was fun talking with the various artists, some of whom are readers here - I'm flattered. If you guys have any upcoming projects you want to promote, you can always contact me. I'm more than happy to promote local and regional artistic talents.

Hi Parka, thanks for the coverage and for stopping by my booth. However, I do not run the Singapore Comix blog. The main man behind that is Cheng Tju...I think.
Hi Parka, Nice to meet you
