Final Fantasy XIII-2 out on Jan 31, 2012

Final Fantasy XIII-2

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be released on Jan 31, 2012.

Amazon USA is offering some goodies for pre-orders that come in the form of a $10 credit and a bonus Omega boss battle.

On a side note, FFXIII Greatest Hits edition is now being offered at less than $20 on Amazon USA.

Final Fantasy XIII-2: The Complete Official Guide - Collector's Edition
Not to be missed is the collector's edition guide for the game. I remember the collector's edition guide was sold out very quickly for the previous game.

Amazon's giving an additional 5% for buying the game together with the collector's edition guide.

Final Fantasy XIII-2: The Complete Official Guide [Paperback]
And of course there's the usual paperback edition which is selling for more than US$5 less. Difference? The collector's edition has only 16 additional pages plus the hardcover.

Everyone should decide for

Everyone should decide for himself wether a specific videogame is worth his money or not but before blindly buying this please ask yourself the question if one should really support what Square Enix is doing right now. FF13 was, in my opinion, the worst FF ever created, lacking inspiration, innovation and good gameplay and being so awfully cheesy that it was painful to see Square Enix milking the cash cow and announcing a follow up. Now if you didn't like what Square Enix was doing with the first one please think twice before buying FF13-2. It is gonna be more of the same after all, primarily catering to a teen-aged female audience...
Also @FAUNA:
I really don't know how one can call FF13 "visionary art" and am interested in hearing which video games you are comparing this to when you describe FF13 as "one of the all-time best games ever created". This really isn't meant as an offense but I just fail to understand how one can let himself be blinded by all this superficial sparkling "eye candy" that much. Again, no offense intended and I hope everyone will have all the fun he or she was expecting to get out of FF13 and 13-2. I'm just a bit baffled by your comment.
