Amazon is now going into movie making. And they want to make your movie. They will be the producer financing the movie. This should be pretty exciting for those budding directors.

I have a secret ambition of making a movie as well, an animated movie. The idea of making a movie always seems to be lingering in my mind. It came about when I saw the pencil-sketch animatics created by Pixar, the ones on the bonus discs of The Incredibles and Up. Even though the drawings are rough and the script short, it was still really absorbing to watch those animatics. That's also the moment when I realized that anyone can make a movie -- you just need a good story -- if you don't get what I mean, just go listen to Finding Nemo. Yes, listen (read that right), watch it without the visuals.

Looks like I'll be keeping a notebook for those story ideas now.
