Book Review: 101 Sketching Tips: Tricks, Techniques, and Handy Hacks for Sketching on the Go
This is the sixth book, if I've counted correctly, in the Urban Sketching Handbook series, and Stephanie Bower's second book in the series – her first first book was on perspective.
This is a portable slightly larger than palm size paperback with 112 pages. The book features 101 short practical tips on urban sketching that you can incorporate into your sketching straightaway. The text is engaging and that's accompanied by the lovely artworks from various urban sketchers around the world. There's a good mix of technical tips, eg drawing fundamentals, basics, perspective, as well as on location tips.
This is an insightful and informative book that I can recommend easily to all those who enjoy sketching, and drawing outdoors.
