Book Review: The 30-Day Sketchbook Project by Minnie Small
The 30-Day Sketchbook Project is a 176-page paperback artbook authored by Minnie Small and published by Page Street Publishing.
Minnie Small is an illustrator based in London who shares her art on her Youtube channel. I actually got to know of her from the 30 Ways to Fill a Sketchbook series she published a few years ago. So this book is kinda similar with those videos she has published except the drawing exercises are different.
This is a book filled with 30 and more ideas and subjects you can draw in your sketchbook. The drawing exercises are guided step by step with many pictures and easy-to-follow instructions. There's a good variety of subjects featured, such as doing colour studies, drawing still life, nature, urban sketching, figure drawing, journaling, creating collage and more. This is also a book you can flip through occasionally to get ideas and get inspired.
This is a great book for those who want to express themselves creatively, get creative, and for those who love sketching or want to pick up sketching. I also highly recommend you check out her Youtube channel and her Instagram page.
