Book Review: The Art of Wolfwalkers
This 224-page large format artbook is packed with concept art, commentary and insight. It's basically the type of artbooks people buy artbooks for.
There are sketches, storyboards, character designs and scene designs. The hand drawn style is very appealing and really shows off the charm of 2D and hand drawn art. This is very refreshing when you consider how similar characters can look in 3D animated movies nowadays. The concept artworks in this book are so varied and just a joy to look art.
There's also plenty of commentary and captions that provide lots of insight to the film making process. This is a terrific artbook companion for the film.
Most highly recommended.
