Book Review: Basics Fashion Design 06: Knitwear by Juliana Sissons
Basics Fashion Design 06: Knitwear by Juliana Sissons was originally published in 2010 and reprinted in 2018 so there are different versions of the cover design. The 2010 edition which I'm reviewing is a 184-page paperback. The 2018 edition is listed as having 208 pages and I don't know what's the additional content.
Knitwear is a reference for fashion designers with a good variety of fashion designs, materials, stitching and construction techniques and tips on where you can find ideas or trends. This book focuses on the construction techniques so this book is book is for those who want to make clothes. There are many visual examples, some are practical while some are fashion-runway outrageous.
This book is obviously more helpful to people who are actually into fashion design and actually make clothes.
