Book Review: The Exceptionally Simple Theory of Sketching: Easy to Follow Tips and Tricks to Make your Sketches Look Beautiful
I've reviewed many books on sketching and this one is a bit different. The focus is on how you can make your sketches look more professional.
The main idea from this book is to make your sketches look more confident, with faster strokes, and hence they will look better. There are also other sketching tips, such as how you can use markers, and how to handle lighting.
This book is very brief with only 64 pages. The brevity helps in the sense that they make the drawing tips shorter and easier to remember. Overall, it's not very detailed of course, but it does cover the main fundamentals well. If you want a detailed book check out How to Draw: drawing and sketching objects and environments from your imagination by Scott Robertson.
Oh this book also comes with several practice sheets that you can remove to practice on, mainly to practice your marker rendering or pencil shadings.
