Book Review: How to Package Your Handmade Products
Here's a beautiful book on DIY product packaging for your handmade products. It's written by graphic and product designer Viola E. Sutanto for those who sell their crafts online.
Collected within this 176-page book are submissions from artists and crafters all over the world. There are examples of paper bags, bottles, wrappings, ribbons, stickers, casings and different materials. The writeup is informative and talks about the design aspects, and there are also tutorials on how you can reproduce selected examples.
The examples showcased are certainly eye catching. As with handmade products, in this case packaging, there's a nice feeling of uniqueness and personal touch for customers like the non-tangible stuff.
This is a wonderful book for artists and crafters who want to get creative with product packaging.
This book is published by several publishers, Basheer Graphic Books and Lark Crafts. Basheer has the title as How to Package Your Handmade Products while Lark Crafts has it as Packaging Your Crafts: Creative Ideas for Crafters, Artists, Bakers, & More.
