Book Review: Klaus: The Art of the Movie
This is a beautiful artbook for Klaus, an animated film produced by Sergio Pablos Animation Studios and distributed by Netflix.
The book's a 192-page large format featuring the concept art with commentary on the production.
The characters and environment are gorgeous. The characters, props and set have this really nice stylised look and there's a lot of life in the designs. The colour palette is also interesting, starting with muted colours earlier on and transitioning to more vibrant colours later on. There's a lot of art, e.g. sketches, coloured illustrations, splash art, storyboards.
There's a good amount of insightful commentary provided as well that talks about the production process, the characters and story.
This is a fantastic artbook. Highly recommended to fans of the film and animation.
