Book Review: The LEGO Architecture Idea Book: 1001 Ideas for Brickwork, Siding, Windows, Columns, Roofing, and Much, Much More
This is a book for LEGO builders who need ideas or inspiration on building specific architecture elements. This book focuses in detail on individual elements. For example, with building walls, there would be multiple examples of different walls you can build. All the LEGO parts required are also listed. The pictures are pretty straightforward. It's those that would light up the light bulb in your mind.
The architecture elements and structures covered in this book are brickwork, walls, wall cladding and shingles, curved walls, patterned walls, wood framing and paneling, molding and millwork, windows, window framing, decor, doors, columns, towers, roofs, domed roofs, spires and roof decorations. If you don't know those architecture terms mentioned, that's great because it means you'll have a lot to learn.
Since this book focuses on individual elements, there's nothing on building a whole house or building. And most of the architecture elements are based off more traditional architecture, not for modern high-rise buildings.
This should be a very useful book for LEGO builders and enthusiasts.
By the way, the author Alice Finch is a renowned LEGO builder who has build models such as Hogswart Castle and Rivendell. To quote the LEGO movie, she's definitely a "master builder".
