Book Review: LEGO Micro Cities: Build Your Own Mini Metropolis!
There's something about building something from scratch that really gives you a sense of satisfaction you can't find with other activities. This book does well to capture that sense of fascination and satisfaction with step-by-step building tutorials for some rather beautiful modern looking cities.
In this 190-page hardcover, author Jeff Friesen has designed 8 micro cities you can build on your own. Each city is broken down into more manageable standalone sections you can build and combine to form the bigger, but still small, city. All the parts are listed and the step-by-step instructions are pretty straightforward. The amount of details that go into the cities is astonishing. And yet because you're limited to a certain size, simplification is important, so you have to create details without using too much details.
Those cities that are featured in this book are beautiful, certainly a work of art on their own. They are small and hence can be displayed easily anywhere you like. This is an inspiring and engaging book for LEGO builders and enthusiasts.
