Book Review: Marvel's Avengers: Endgame - The Art of the Movie
It's definitely fitting to have this thick 376-page artbook to go with the biggest movie from Marvel. It's even thicker than the 336-page Infinity War artbook which by the way seems to be out of print or something because prices are now more than double on Amazon. At the time of this review, this is still a new book so it's selling close to the official retail price.
This book is packed with art. There are plenty of character designs, and well, re-designs of the characters, again. What's fun is to see Hulk in the different types of casual wear, Thor or should I say fat Thor and his comfy pyjamas, Iron Man and the female suit Rescue, and the time travel suits are really cool. There's art for all the characters with substantial screen time. Thanos and the creatures have many pages to themselves.
There are also lots of props and set designs, such as for the time machine, Tokyo, New York, the other planets, visualisation for the time travel, and of course the battleground. There are some storyboards and more commentary than I expected.
It's a pricey hardcover artbook but it's worth the money. And it comes with a slipcase like many of the Marvel movie artbooks.
