Book Review: The Third in Line by Mattias Adolfsson
This is Mattias Adolfsson's fourth published sketchbook and as expected, it's just wonderful.
The 144-page hardcover sketchbook collects the illustrations that he has created on his blog after the release of this earlier book The Second in Line that was out in 2013.
While you can see the beautiful artworks on his blog, it's feel so much better to have a hard copy in hand.
The stitch binding of the book is exposed, and it's able to open flat so you can see the drawings in their full glory. When the book is open flat, the front and back cover will combine to form a sketch.
Mattias Adolfsson has also reprinted his earlier In Line series sketchbooks so if you missed the chance to get them, you can do so now. He has also put out a thick compilation book that collects all the three In Line books. So if you don't have his other books, getting that limited edition 3-in-1 book might be a better choice, and also cheaper.
All the books are sold only on his website.
Highly recommended.
