Book Review: The Watercolor Ideas Book
This is a book of ideas on the different types of styles and mixed media art you can create with watercolour.
This 176-page paperback book is rather small, about the size of my hand. It's one of those books that you can pull off the shelf when you have the creative block and want some ideas or inspiration.
There's a technique featured on every page spread. On one page would be the artwork and the other would talk about the artist and the technique. This is not an instructional book so there aren't any step-by-step instructions. It's really just, as the title suggests, an idea book. The artworks featured are lovely and the websites of the contributing artists are all listed so you can see more of their works online.
This is a good book. I actually have a few of these ideas-type books. I like the accessible bitesize inspiration. If you want more instructions, perhaps check out If You're Bored With WATERCOLOUR Read This Book.
