Tea Appreciation and Sketching
Spent the day hanging out with Liz Steel again. In case you're wonder where I have all this time, it's because I work at night and have the afternoon usually free.
This tea session was organized by Vincent. It's actually part 4 of the cafe-hopping series from him.
This teahouse we were at is on 9 Neil Road, called Tea Chapter.
It has very nice interior and I heard that it has been around for more than two decades.
I don't have any idea of tea appreciation, even after Vincent explained how tea should be tasted. At least I can get the procedure right, but differentiating between the different teas is not easy.
Borromini Bear can't wait to use those tea leaves.

Woo. The steam.
Their lunch. Some glutinous rice and egg.
Liz Steel with her customed made stamp with her Chinese name. The handle is made of jade. You can customise your own stamps easily by looking for shops at Chinatown. It takes just a few hours for the artist to create the stamp.
The tea leaves we tried.
Water is boiled in this nice looking pot.
This was at another teahouse. Liz is using some double-sided tape to stick namecards to her sketchbooks.
A close up of the nifty gadget.
The other set of tea.
The only sketch I managed to finish today. Ink and watercolour.
