Book Review: How to Draw Manga: Sketching Manga-Style: Volume 5 Sketching Props

Volume 5 of the How to Draw Manga series is on sketching props.

This 200-page paperback is filled with examples and useful drawing tips. The props covered are the common items you usually see in comics, such as eyeglasses, headpieces, mobile phones, bags, footwear, kitchen utensils, sports equipment like tennis racquets, guitars, bicycles, cars and weapons like swords and guns.

However, since so many items are featured, the emphasis isn't equal for all items. For example, I felt that there could be more information and examples devoted to complicated subjects like bicycles, motorbikes, vehicles and weapons.

It's a good starter guide for those learning to draw manga.
