Book Review: Making of Wakfu Season 1 Volume 2

The second volume of The Making of Wakfu Season 1 collects art from episodes 3-5, The Black Crow, The Ugly Pageant and The Magnificent 5. There are 128 pages.

Since there are going to be 26 episodes for season 1, I'm guessing there will be about 9 volumes of these art books. Pretty elaborate for an anime series.

In volume 2, you'll get to see designs for Black Crow, the ugly princesses, the heroes in their ugly princess outfits, Tarus, Dripples and other characters. There are also sketches and drawings for the backgrounds and props. Everything is organised by the episodes. Right at the book's back are additional concept sketchers for the characters.

As usual, there are insightful commentary from the directors, animators, character designers and other staff. The text is in both French and English.

This book should appeal to those who like anime Flash-style art, and of course the fans.
