Books Kinokuniya Sketchwalk (26 Apr 2014)
Books Kinokuniya at Ngee Ann City will be moving from the third floor to the fourth by the end of October this year. Renovations are expected in July. Meanwhile it's business as usual.
For this month's sketchwalk, we are fortunate to be able to sketch inside the huge flagship store. Some of us even went into the back offices to draw. It's fun looking at all the cubicles stacked with new books and forms.
Here are some photos I took.
These are the badges issued to sketchers in the store to identify themselves.
That's me drawing inside the back office.
The place's more spacious than I thought I knew it for.
12 by 9 inch Waterford CP watercolour paper, Uniball pen, Graphitone
This is my sketch of one of the cubicles. This was drawn standing. I clipped the Bijou box with the Graphitone onto the watercolour block and used it with a waterbrush.
12 by 9 inch Waterford CP watercolour paper, Sharpie Extra Fine, Graphitone
The 100% Waterford paper is very absorbent and just wants to suck the ink and water from whatever I was using.
