Book Review: Telling Stories: The Classic Comic Art of Frank Frazetta
Besides painting, Frank Frazetta also drew comics. This book features a selection of completed stories gloriously reproduced in full colour. It's a huge hardcover book that comes with a slipcase.
There's a variety of stories, like action-packed Thunda which is somewhat similar to Tarzan, mushy but at that time wildly popular love stories, army tales, heroic (I don't know how) true life stories, and others. The storytelling is fantastic, and the art is great.
It's certainly a different sensibility looking at the comics and comparing them with the paintings. This book provides a the other look to Frank Frazetta's ability.
It's a great book for those who can't get enough of Frank Frazetta.

Frazetta and Al Williamson
Frazetta and Al Williamson were mentored by Roy Krenkel when working at EC Comics, and collaborated on each other's comic pages. They were known as 'The
Fleagles'. One EC science fiction story in particular 'Food for Thought' has a beautiful
alien landscape drawn by Krenkel, the main artwork being Williamson's.
