Book Review: The Art of Emily The Strange
Emily sure is strange with her dark flowing hair, black dress, white shoes and black cats. Even stranger is the world she lives in, and this book gives a picture of just how weird it can be.
This book is filled with creepy punk-rock art that Emily seems to like. She can be on a boat on top of a ghoul tsunami wave in one scene, and appear in a Escher like painting the next. The illustrations are really well reproduced and there are also some cool photos on related stuff like merchandise, the shop, rock and roll sessions, etc. Every page is about dark fantasy captured on the canvas.
There isn't any text except for the glowing introduction by legendary punk artist Winston Smith.
This is certainly not the book for every one. For the fans and punk rock art lovers, you'll like it.

I just bought this book last
I just bought this book last week after glancing through it in a shop here and its amazing! I like that character to start with but although she's quite simplistic design wise- the book itself has so much detail. I was really suprised. The designs and artwork is really detailed and inspiring. I love it. Great review, the pics you've put on show it really well.
Emily the strange is a cute
Emily the strange is a cute character! It's too bad she turned out to be plaigiarized from an earlier work - https://youthoughtwewouldntnotice.com/blog3/?p=1701
