Book Review: The Art of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time
This is a 312-page hardcover artbook for Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.
This is an incredible artbook.
I love the character designs. More specifically I like the animated caricatured look and style. The poses and dynamism of the characters are so lively. The stage designs look great too. The artworks are detailed and so beautiful. There's not much text but enough to give you brief insight into the characters and the world.
I'm really glad there are games like this. Designs for characters and enemies in sci-fi shooter games are started to look and feel rather generic. The characters you'll see in the world of Crash Bandicoot is a breath of fresh air. It's something different, visually different from sci-fi shooter games, and that I appreciate. The other recent artbook which was really good is The Art of Spyro: Reignited which also happens to be written by Micky Nelson and published by Blizzard Entertainment.
Highly recommended.
