Book Review: The Art of Ori and the Will of the Wisps
The Art of Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a beautiful artbook for a beautiful game.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a platform adventure video game released in 2020, and it's the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest (2005).
This artbook is a thick 288-page hardcover published by Future Press. The paper quality is very good. It's the thick, low gloss paper that looks and feels premium. The print quality is good. For a game where the environment is mostly dark, in shadows or at night, it's unavoidable to have some issues when it comes to reproducing dark scenes, but overall the artworks are reproduced quite nicely.
The art in this book is terrific. The character and creature designs look so good. The environments are so rich in details and multi-layered. Everything in this world looks and feels alive. The use of colours is restrained and purposeful.
This is a book that I can recommend not only to fans of the game but also to others who into video game artbooks.

A beautiful book. I'll be
A beautiful book. I'll be purchasing two copies. One for me and one for my daughter. She's in art school and can benefit from the beautiful artwork prepared for this game.
