Book Review: Bernie Wrightson's Frankenstein
This is Mary Shelly's classic Frankenstein novel with several illustrations by Bernie Wrightson. It's a clothed hardcover edition published by Dark Horse, about two times the size of normal paperback novels. There's also a ribbon attached for bookmarking purposes.
The story is a classic so I won't go into it. There are already hundreds of reviews on Amazon written about it.
The difference between this and other editions is really Bernie Wrightson's illustrations. The 45 black and white full page illustrations are just stunning, beautiful. The cross hatching is amazing. They are filled with so much detail that will probably hold your attention for a while before continuing with the text.
If you haven't read the classic and considering getting one, this is the one to get, or maybe even just for the art. It's a splendid edition.
