Book Review: Cuba, an 56 de la Révolution: [Carnet de voyage] sous embargo
Here's the other Lapin sketchbook that I bought together with Lapin au Japon: Tokyo-Osaka-Kyoto-Nara that I featured a few days ago. This one is also published in 2014.
Cuba, an 56 de la Révolution is much thicker and bigger book that the other Lapin sketchbooks I have, except for the one on Japan. It's a square format paperback with 192 pages.
This book is a travelogue that Lapin had drew while in Cuba in 2014. The sketches are lovely and are of the sights and scenes, the people and the architecture. There's a surprising large number of drawings of old vintage cars.
All the sketches are drawn as usual on those old accountant books with the rows and columns of lines.
There's quite a lot of handwritten text but all in French.
Overall, it's a lovely travelogue sketchbook and worth checking out.
