Book Review: Wizard Alex Ross Millennium Edition
There are a couple of editions for this book and it's always being updated. The one I have here is the 2009 edition, with Spider-man and Wonder Woman on the cover. It's a 178-page hardcover, about the size of a normal trade paperback.
The highlight of the book is actually the intensive writeup on his work in comics. There are lots of interviews and stuff to read on his celebrated work, including Marvels, Kingdom Come, Earth X and many more.
You'll see his cover art, sketches, panels and other paintings. Most of the art aren't printed very large, given that everything he did over his career has to be squeezed into this book. You should check out Mythology: The DC Comics Art of Alex Ross and Rough Justice: The DC Comics Sketches of Alex Ross for the full page paintings and sketches.
This book is not easy to find. Amazon doesn't seem to have this 2009 edition, but does have some of the older editions, as sold by other merchants. Wizard Entertainment has stock for the book. If you have $150, you can go for the limited signed copy.
