This stand features full-metal build quality. Edges are beveled. The magnetic plate has padding to prevent scratches on the iPad. Base is stable.

The folding design makes it possible to pack this into a backpack should you need to bring this somewhere else.

The hinge is stiff and allows for tilt and rotation. Magnets are very strong.

You can also lower the stand and prop up the tablet to draw on it. Apple Pencil performance is not affected by the magnets.

I've been using tablet stands for years and I can say with certainty that having a tablet stand is very useful.
