Book Review: アートワークス・オブ・ギルティギアゼグス 2000-2007 (Artworks of Guilty Gear X 2000-2007)

Here's the art book for the versus fighting game Guilty Gear X. It collects seven years of art, all drawn by Daisuke Ishiwatari (石渡太輔), who is actually born in South Africa, as I found out on Wikipedia. Actually he's multi-talented since he draw, write and create music.

The style here is the very typical manga with watercolours. Most of the illustrations are full page. As expected of a fighting game art book, it's filled with cool character art, all 176 pages of it. Also included is a short walkthrough on how the art is created, narrated in Japanese.

Definitely worth taking a look if you're fan of manga art and the game.
