Book Review: Basic Drawing: How to Draw What You See
Basic Drawing by Charles Williams is an introductory book to drawing. It's about observational drawing with instructions and exercises.
The book's written with a more academic approach and can be quite draggy. That's exactly the same complaint I have with the author's other book called Basic Watercolour: How to Paint What You See.
Personally I would have preferred a much hands on approach rather than one with lengthy text explanation. There are some good exercises but none too inspiring looking though.
