Book Review: The Daily Zoo Goes to Paris

The Daily Zoo Goes to Paris

As I'm writing this review, Chris Ayers has already passed Year Seven of Daily Zoo, a personal art project to help himself recover from battling off leukemia. I'm glad he is fine. It's very inspiring to read his story, his journey.

The Daily Zoo Goes to Paris is the companion artbook for the exhibition that was held at Galerie Daniel Maghen in January 2012. It's hardcover edition, 64 pages, collecting 50 unpublished works. It's a bit thin but the art is great, always has been. The characters feel like they have a life on their own, and just by looking at the postures you can feel their personalities.

You must also check out Daily Zoo Year One, Daily Zoo Year Two and if you want a colouring book, MY Daily Zoo.

By the way, I'm hoping for Year Three - Six (and now Seven) to have their books published. Maybe into an ultimate collection. I don't mind.

Highly recommended.
