Book Review: Inspirations From The East: Modern Chinese Design
The book features the work of 14 Chinese graphic designers, all with really good credentials, some even designed for the Beijing Olympics Games.
There are examples from printed to outdoor displays, featuring a wide variety of work and style. Compared to western and European design, this book represents a totally different design sense and sensibility. It's cool to see how Chinese culture has influence on some of these designs, like colours, drawings, and of course the Chinese typography. There's even an artist whose style is similar to Javier Mariscal.
The book is in English and has short writeup for each of these artists.
Recommended to designers looking for examples on contemporary Chinese design.
