Book Review: Sketches: From Here and There

A.J. Diamond is an architect and was born in South Africa. The collection of stories and sketches featured starts in 1938 when he attended a local school there. There on, he traveled around the world for studies and work, going to places like London, Jerusalem, France, Prague, Venice, Rome, Turkey, Laos.

For each place he shares with us a story about part of his life. He talks about his studies, work, WWII, the people he met, and other observations.

The accompanying sketches were drawn with pencils and watercolours. The colours are nice but the style, the linework and colouring, can be a bit too loose, for me anyway. So you'll want to flip through the book before buying.
