Book Review: Wayfinder: The Art of Gretel Lusky

Gretel Lusky (website | Instagram | Twitter) is an Argentinian freelance illustrator based in UK. She loves drawing comics and has worked with DC Comics, Marvel and other notable companies in the entertainment and print industries.

This is a wonderful artbook not just for fans of Gretel Lusky, but also for aspiring artists because it's so inspiring.

The book's a 208-page hardcover with matte surface paper. Edges of the pages are even treated with shimmering paint.

The book is written in first person with Gretel talking about her career, how she got started as a character designer, then moved on to explore other ways to create art that can show off her own style. She shares many useful tips and knowledge that she has learned over the years. She talks about her style, influence and even on how to take care of your health as a full-time illustrator.

While you can probably find much of her art on her Instagram page, you won't be able to find all the stories that she has included in this book. There is a lot of art included and there are so many sketchbook pages. There's so much to see.

This is another great addition to the 3dtotal illustrator series of artbooks.
