Trevor grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was told he wasn't talented enough to take art at school or college. He only started drawing in his thirties. He now lives in Austin, Texas, where he writes and illustrates children's books and has a children's entertainment company. His many books can be found in bookstores and at www.trevorromain.com.
