Book Review: Sketch Your World: A Guide to Sketch Journaling
Shows how fun sketch journaling can be
Sketch Your World by Kimiko Sekimoto is a 128-page hardcover beginner's guide to sketch journaling.
This book is suitable for those who have no knowledge of drawing. Included in the book are 40 step-by-step drawing exercises and even more ideas on what you can draw, such as things in the kitchen, cafe, supermarket, on the street. Drawing even mundane things you see in life can make things look interested.
There are even a few pages of travel journals included with Kimiko sketching hotel rooms, luggage contents, scenes, people and more.
The drawing style is so accessible that anyone can follow. And if you find that you really enjoy journaling, definitely check out the other urban sketching books I've reviewed.
