Still no news on the release date yet but it's going to be out in 2009.

I'm not so hopeful about the art book. So far, I haven't seen any art books from Final Fantasy that's really good. Most of them are just film stills.

I used to have an art book for FF9. But the concept art was really abstract, and there are also too many film stills.

These shots from FFXIII look gorgeous, this is probably going to be the final tipping stone that causes me to buy one of the new consoles.
