CSP v2.1 is now available

Version 2.1 of Clip Studio Paint is now available.

If you went with the one time purchase of version 2.0 in March 2023, there won't be any upgrades for you since that license is locked to version 2.0. To upgrade to the new version requires purchase of the Upgrade Pass. So maybe the $0.99/month subscription plan may be worth it after all.

Clip Studio Paint 2023 summer sale up to 60% off

Clip Studio Paint is having their 2023 summer sale now and there are some good discounts.

The one time purchase of version 2.0 of CSP Pro and CSP EX desktop licenses are US $19.99 (60% off) and $129 (40% off) respectively. Getting the full version of CSP (non subscription) for $20 is an amazing deal.

If you don't mind subscription, the 1 year subscription (single device) for CSP Pro and CSP EX are US $9.99 and $34.99 respectively. That is also a pretty good deal.

Clip Studio Paint v2 is here

Clip Studio Paint version 2.0 is now available and there are some pretty good launch deals.


Some of thew new features are:

  • 3D head model with adjustable proportions for features such as the eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Hand pose scanner so you can apply hand poses from live capture to 3D models
  • More intuitive and realistic color mixing
  • Support for word wrapping and text ligaments
  • Automatic shading that applies shadows based on the lineart and existing colors
  • Align & distribute tools for objects including text, layers, and folders
  • Four new languages: simplified Chinese*, Portuguese, Thai, and Indonesian

You can test out the trial version first which has all the features except for file save.

The one-year single device subscription for US $9.99 is a good deal.
