Book Review: Voltron: United and Drawn
The actual title of the book is Voltron: United and Drawn, different from what's shown on Amazon which is Voltron: Defender of the Universe Official Art Book Plus.
This is essentially a fan art book. The quality of the artwork featured is quite polarizing - not in a good way. The really good beautiful pieces are too few, and the rest are mediocre and amateur. I attribute it to the low selection criteria, if there were any. Even the several 1-panel cartoons titled Voltron Funnies are tragically not funny.
Finding out who drew what in the book is frustrating. The artist index is located at the back, with page numbers beside the artists' names. However, page numbers aren't printed on every page of the book. So locating artwork is a matter of finding the nearest visible page number and counting from there.
The few interesting interviews which talk about the history and making of Voltron are probably the saving grace. This is not a book I'll recommend unless you have a look inside first.

Ha, I have a piece of art in this book! I can't disagree with any of your comments, even if I did think a couple of the Voltron Funnies were amusing.
My illustration is on page 136 and looks like this...

@David White
Your work seems to be quite different from your usual style.
I come to this blog everyday,
I come to this blog everyday, but today I was surprised today to see my art on it. I did the first image you showed of the open book. The Princess Allura with the white background on the left. Maybe you liked it, maybe you didn't it. That's cool.
Keep up the great work here, this blog is an amazing resource.
