Book Review: Alien Next Door by Joey Spiotto
Joey Spiotto brings a twist to the Alien franchise with funny feel-good comics in this 80-page square-sized hardcover.
In a series of heartwarming comics, you get to see the alien do things all of us do, feed the cat, play ball, cosplay, walk the dog, do laundry, paint, sleep and pretty much all the mundane stuff. This play on juxtaposition is not uncommon. You see that in Vader's Little Princess as well.
The drawings are nice and the jokes are humorous. However, you're looking at a book that has little reason to return to after you've laugh through it once. The good thing is the book doesn't cost too much.
This book is for probably those who like pop culture art.
