Book Review: The Big Book of Less: Finding Joy in Living Lighter
Once again Flow Magazine has come up with a wonderful book.
This is one of those books to read while you're cosy on your sofa. The theme of this book is on minimalism, appreciating what you already have and enjoying the present. Highlight of this book for me are the numerous essays by other creatives on how they live their lives. There are stories on what you can do with less, socialising with friends, cooking, or finding other meaningful things you can do.
There's one nice story on how a parent lost all her baby's photos which were stored in a hard drive. She went around asking her friends and family to see if they have any photos of her baby. Another story is on how people nowadays are just filming concerts with their phones rather than enjoying the concert fully. There are also tips on journaling to help you manage your time and organise your day.
Just like many of the books from Flow Magazine, this book has many detachable paper goodies included too, such as 4 art posters, 2 journals, a foldout house and others.
Price of this book on Amazon at the time of this review is just US $15. That's a terrific deal considering the stories, artworks and inspiration that's packed in this book. Highly recommended.
