Book Review: Journey by Aaron Becker
Journey is a beautiful children book illustrated by Aaron Becker.
It tells the story of a little girl who went to a magical place through a red door that she drew on the wall. It's a wordless picture book with wondering drawings to capture your imagination. While you can't actually read to your kid, what's going on is very clear and you can easily make up your own narrative. It's good storytelling without words, reminds me of The Arrival by Shaun Tan.
The art is really nice. I like the use of colour palette of complementary colours. The subdued blue-green against red and yellow against purple work very nice.
It's a wonderful book to check out.
