Book Review: The Sketch-Book Cook
This is the first book in the new series of illustrated recipe books from They Draw and Cook. Each book in the series will be featuring an artist and for the first volume it's Dorine van der Vloodt, an artist from Holland.
This 64-page paperback features the illustrated recipes that Dorine has submitted to They Draw and Cook's website. There are 30 recipes of different dishes, such as salads, soups, pasta, curry, sausage and many more. Just like the main artbook, the pages are laid out with the ingredients and they are fully painted, in what looks like watercolour.
Even though I don't cook, I still enjoy looking at the drawings. Having said that, those who love to cook will get the most out of the book, and can learn to cook new dishes.
