Review: 3dtotal's Male Skin Realistic Anatomy Figure

3dtotal's Male Realistic Anatomy Model - 01

Recently, 3dtotal asked if I wanted to review one of their anatomy figure. Of course, I said yes, and choose the male realistic skin anatomy figure.

Their recent line of anatomy figures started with a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2013.

The figure is 11-inch (27.5cm) tall. It's a good size that makes sure that every feature can be seen. You can even see clearly the sculpts of the eyeballs, fingernails and even the veins on the feet.

The figure is sculpted by Daniel Crossland. It's then 3D printed and then cast in grey resin.

Production quality is high. The figure feels sturdy and it also comes with a stand that you can fix the feet onto.

On hindsight, I felt that I should have requested for the half realistic half ecorche figure. That figure would have more information as half of it is used to show the muscle structure.

Overall, the whole sculpture is very detailed and polished. The form on all parts of the body are very well defined. It's a wonderful tool for studying how light and shadow forms on the body.

You can get the anatomy figures on 3dtotal's online store at https://shop.3dtotal.com/figures/anatomy-figure.html

I like how the shadows are formed on the figure. It's a rather soft shadow from a cloudy day.

You can see the veins and even wrinkles on the fingers.

The only part that is less than ideal is where the deltoid joins the bicep. There's a line there that looks as if the two parts are separate and then sticked together. It's a minor issue though.
