Ok, now it's official, just got mail from Amazon about this error.
Good news- Amazon will respect all orders!!!!!!!!!
Not so good news- but only one copy of each item (I guess no copies of iron man to my friends..)!

I really hope they ment 1 copy of each item, and not 1 copy per order...

Picked a selection of books, carefully calculated the total cost to avoid taxes and was all ready to order when I remembered that I should go and affiliate the purchase to someone. Went ahead and picked one site from those I follow, went to fill the cart and just as one would expect; the prices had been fixed.

Fairly annoyed about the whole deal. I haven't been able to buy any books for nearly a year and then had to miss this chance when they were finally affordable for me :/ Good to see some people got some books at least.

Back to wainting for the next one I guess...

I ordered SF20: The Art of Street Fighter, Udon's Art of Capcom, The Art of Top Cow and Witchblade Compendium Vol. 2. Unfortunatly Amazon mailed me a few minutes ago that they won`t get Udon`s Art of Capcom. But I didn`t recieved a mail concerning the false pricing but it looks like Amazon is behaving brave and fair. Thumbs up here.

I never received any mail from Amazon either.
Happened to visit your site yesterday night and was able to purchase 6 books for the price of 14.99 each.

Wow, I ordered 4 Books: Iron Man omnibus, Daredevil Omnibus 2 (was too late for the 1st, but that one seems to be relatively cheap regularly) the Will Eisner Sketchbook and the Invincible Omnibus.

Half my original order of 12 books (8 of which were bugged at the time though I didn't realise as they're all artbooks) and all my pre-orders/back orders from another order just mysteriously vanished from my orders on Amazon. No e-mail, nothing. Just my original 12 book order now down to 6 (only 2 glitched ones).

They did e-mail me about cancelling the Art of Udon earlier because it was out of stock, but some of the books that disappeared were clearly in-stock, and even now still are.

Now I'm just annoyed cause I planned my orders to be just nicely below the GST cap, and I'll probably have to add more to them.

Or maybe I should protest and take my money to the Kino sale this weekend.

I ordered art books. they canceled all my pre-order, like iron man 1+2, although its still on sale, art of udon (out of stock), mega man+ mega man x- I don't know what is the problem.
I want to contact Amazon but don't know how.. this is really disappointing

I ordered 1 copy of 4 different art books and my order has simply vanished as well with no notification as to why. I'm waiting to hear back from an email I sent them asking what happened. Of course we all know how this is going to pan out. Sigh. At least contact me. Makes me simply not want to use Amazon again in the future.

I've been reading people getting out of stock emails but they are still selling those items and showing them in stock. So some are trying to re-order and get a price adjustment. Not worth the trouble at this point. Hopefully others do the same as me and speak with their wallet since an email isn't going to do anything. Poor form in such a bad economy.

Yeah, they cancelled all my stuff without a notice, too. Pretty disappointing. At least a mail would have been nice.

Finally got the email saying they have no stock which is a lie. Everything except for SF20 is still showing in stock. I wrote asking them to explain why they cancelled the ones they are still showing in stock. F Amazon. Here's the BS email they sent me...

Wow in the time I wrote this post Amazon removed their listing of all those titles showing in stock. No integrity. Nice.

I must ask, did anyone recieve an email saying that your order was shipped before it was cancelled?

I did not find the "sale" via parka but through manually searching (was comparing european prices with american) and I found a handful of artbooks that I wanted. Except for the Okami book I ordered stuff that wasn't in your list. Apparently there was a pricing error on alot of Ashley Wood and other artbooks also.

Today I got an email saying that my order was shipped with everything except for my Okami book. It looks like they took an amount of money from my account and tells me I can't cancel it already, are they just wrong or you think I have a chance of getting those books?

Seems like they've labelled all affected titles as now no longer being sold from Amazon.com, even the pre-orders.

I got an e-mail after I wrote in to their customer service about the cancellations.

Got the same email. Rather have my books. They can and should do more.

Ok well. Now I'm just not sure about anything anymore.
I'm the previous poster mentioning Ashley Wood books.

They shipped my first order at 9th march, Ashley Wood sparrow boxset and Skilled Huntsman. Later the same day (10 hours ago to be more exact) I got a reply telling me Okami had a pricing error, was sold out and I get a $25 something something.

Just now I recieve another letter telling me that my Okami book was just shipped.

Did I just get all three of my books in two separate orders together with a coupon by mistake?
Did they send out "Your order was sent" emails by mistake, is none of my orders sent and did I only get a coupon?

They already took money from my account, but since I'm living in europe it'll take almost a month before I'll know for sure. I've also emailed the amazon staff.
I have no idea why they would send the first two books one day before the okami book, especially when I selected the option to put orders together for lesser shipping costs.

I'm not expecting anyone to know the answers to this. Just sharing ~~

Since I only ordered Capcom books, I'm probably not getting anything, but I'm still holding onto hope that Amazon will get a restock of all those artbooks.

I also ordered the Avatar TLA artbook, but since it's not even out yet, I don't see how they can cancel it due to lack of availability... at least move it back to my cart...

Amazon canceled my order but I got 25$ gift card from them. Does anybody know how to use one of those?

Not to rain on anyone's parade but I think I lucked out because of few reasons.

A) I had a fairly small order. I only ordered the Okami book, Apple Vol 3, and the Marko book in one shipment. I also ordered the Avatar (TLAB) book but I placed that in a separate order so as not to affect my initial shipment.
B) I ordered (I think) pretty early on after seeing Parka's post (Thank you so much for the info, Parka!)
and
C) Mine's was an international order, since I live in Canada. Honestly, I thought this would have been a negative but maybe I got overlooked in the sea of domestic "Free Shipping" orders. Who knows.

All and all, I came away happy because all of the books I REALLY wanted have shipped at the fabulous price of $14.99! The only order the cancelled was for the Avatar book, which I expected and, like most people I received a $25 credit (which, in all honesty, will probably go towards purchasing the Avatar book when it's out). With only a few weeks before my birthday, this is truly an awesome gift and I can't thank you enough Parka for bringing this to my attention.
