Urban Sketchers Singapore Volume 1

This is the first sketchbook from Urban Sketchers Singapore, a group I'm part of.

The book's going to be released on 21 Oct 2011 5pm at Urban Renewal Authority (URA) Atrium (map), Singapore. The launch will be accompanied by an exhibition at their floorspace and some demonstrations by artists. I'm pretty excited because I've some sketches displayed there as well.

The book is a 252 page hardcover filled with more than 360 sketches. It's in horizontal format, slightly larger than A5 at 23cm by 16cm. Yes, I know, the cover is white. I've some sketches in the book also, which I shall classify them as beginner works.

Pre-orders

Pre-orders for the book is available now at www.usksgvolumes.com.

The pre-order price is SGD$39 including local shipping within Singapore. That's US$30 equivalent, which I guess for a 252-page book isn't too bad. The book will be priced SGD$49 after the book launch date.

International orders are accepted as well. However, international shipping fees can be exorbitant depending on which country you're in. Airmail to USA, UK, France is SGD$36 which is almost the price of the book!!!

I was blown away when I saw this book when I was in Singapore in June this year. Can't wait to own a copy so I can peruse at leisure. As an Art Teacher I appreciate the individual response to a most exciting City.
