Book Review: Brasil Acuarelas de Viaje (Spanish Edition)
I like the sketchbooks of Joaquin Gonzalez Dorao but I think I made a mistake by getting the Spanish edition. After I reviewed some of his earlier sketchbooks that were translated to English, I realised that it's more enjoyable to be able to read the captions.
This is a 96-page paperback that's self published. It features the different places in Brazil, such as Jericoacoara, Bahia, Brasilia, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Foz Do Iguacu.
The only place I know of in Brazil is Rio de Janeiro so it's great to be able to see other places that I did not know exist. There are sketches of the streets, buildings, people, maps and other miscellaneous things, like statues or the cobblestones pavements. The watercolour sketches are beautiful and so are the different places featured. I guess to put Brazil as one of the places to visit in the future too.
Recommend to sketchbook lovers.
