Book Review: Enjoy, Gaudi
Enjoy Gaudi is sort of a travelogue and illustrated guide to the buildings designed by Gaudi that you can find in Barcelona. The book's published in similar format as Nina Johansson's Drawing Around Sagrada Familia. 92 pages, hardcover, landscape A5. Both books are part of the Sketchguides series.
Swasky is a Catalan illustrator and art teacher that lives in Spain on the outskirts of Barcelona. In this book, he introduces us to the various Gaudi buildings you can find in Barcelona. It's a good guide if you want to find the locations as they are all mapped out on the Metro map so you can reach them using the public transport.
His colourful loose watercolour sketches come with his own commentary and stories. It's fun to read about the interesting facts behind Gaudi's designs. It's rather brief though, but at least you know that building exists. 17 buildings are featured. The text is in English with Castellano and Catala translation at the back of the book.
