Book Review: Minor Miracles

Minor Miracles

I only got to know of this book because Expressive Anatomy for Comics and Narrative featured some panels from it.

Minor Miracles is a collection of 4 short stories looking at the miracles that happen in Will Eisner's version of New York City. Will Eisner is a great storyteller. His short stories are created with believable characters with real motivations.

This book is also very educational for comic artists who want to create better characters. Every panel in the book has the characters posed specifically to emote and emphasis how they are feeling. All the characters have strong silhouettes. The plot is easy to guess even with the speech balloons taken away.

Minor Miracles is a very enjoyable read.

There are several editions for the book with a 2009 reprint edition coming ou
