Book Review: Robots and Donuts

Robots and donuts is a whimsical collection of paintings from Eric Joyner. He has realized that museums worldwide don't have enough robots and donuts to entertain kids, that's how this book come about. It's a 184-page paperback filled with large reproductions of his oil paintings.

The book's packed with toy robots that are from the 40s to 60s, given life and put into strange situations. There are robots fending off aliens, punching donuts, waiting for a date at a restaurant or boxing in a ring.

This is a humorous and wacky book. Robots and donuts (with some aliens and dinosaurs) aren't the sort of subjects you would expect to fill a book.
