Book Review: Sketching from the Imagination: Character Concepts
This is book #10 from the Sketching from the Imagination series. If you love sketchbooks, these are the books to get. By the way, 3Dtotal is offering good discounts for bulk purchases.
As the title of the book suggests, this book is about character designs and concepts. The book is a 320-page paperback and is packed with beautiful sketches from 50 artists. Each artist has a short profile and there are plenty of tips on designing and drawing characters. Most characters are human but there are a few anthropomorphic ones.
Even though the sketches are just sketches and not fully illustrated or painted with detail, they all look so good. Hand-drawn art still holds its charm.
This is a fantastic sketchbook. Highly recommended.

I have a number of books in this series and really enjoy them. I find that very often I prefer sketches to the finished pieces of art. As you say, "Hand-drawn art still holds its charm."
